Artist Statement
Yesterday February 10th we finished our own poems in the form of a sonnet, this work that I did means a lot to me for many reasons. One of the reasons is that when I wrote my poem I expressed myself more than I do when I am talking. I looked deep inside me and got the things out and just wrote them. This meant a lot because when I did it the things I had hidden inside just came out and it was a good feeling telling things through a piece of paper. Then I felt relieved for stressing everything out. Before people read my poem, I would want them to know that I am a very energetic person when it comes to things I love. Next I will share my poem.
Basket Ball
My favorite sport is called basketball
It requires skill and will to play it
I will stand tall and sometimes I will fall
The impact will hit but I will never quit
The fire will ignite inside my eyes
Whenever I play this passionate game
I will get wise and my dream never dies
To some it is lame but I take no shame
I will always play and take every shot
Dribble my way to the top of the court
They will tell me to stop but I cannot
This poem is of my favorite sport
Which I will never stop playing ever
This sport will stay in my heart forever
It requires skill and will to play it
I will stand tall and sometimes I will fall
The impact will hit but I will never quit
The fire will ignite inside my eyes
Whenever I play this passionate game
I will get wise and my dream never dies
To some it is lame but I take no shame
I will always play and take every shot
Dribble my way to the top of the court
They will tell me to stop but I cannot

English Narrative Reflection
In these paragraphs I am going to be explaining the differences and similarities between the traditional and digital narrative. Also I am going to discuss the difficulties and pleasures I had while writing it. First I am going to start to tell my process of writing the traditional one. First I had to start brainstorming some ideas I had for the story, got some ideas from films and sci fi movies I have watched before. For me it is not that hard to come up with the story and plot I want to had. I started getting some ideas from past terminator movies, like robots and war. I sticked to it and made a character named john who had a family, he was growing up in an era of technology. One day that technology was used against humanity and everything became war and violence, after that I created the story board, this was very interesting because I had to visualize how the story was going to be i drew it and the rest was history. I really liked doing this because it helped me plan out what I was going to the for the digital narrative.
For my digital narrative the process was very similar but it had some similarities. For the digital part I had to choose on what app or device I was going to pick. I chose to do it on my I pad since I always have it with me and provides with many options to chose from. For example I could do a stop motion or a movie like project, I finally decided after a while that I was doing a movie like project.I chose the app I movie that had a lot of functions, I could paste photos that I had or other people had, I could narrate the story through the I pad mic. After this I started to choose photos that were similar to the story board part I had done. I chose the photos that had to do with the main plot of the story and I chose parts that really defined the story. I had to build up to the point were I thought it was perfect. I started planing what images were going to be first and what I was going to say.
I practiced and practiced the dialogue and timed the scenes so I knew were I had to talk. I recorded the voice and had to repeat a quiet few times so it could be precise. After a few times I finally did it and created it to be perfect but only some scenes. Then I recorded the rest perfectly because I had practiced. After this I submitted the work on weebly and then it was done. I had all voice and images together. This were the process I went through for the digital and traditional narrative. Both of them were equally different than they were similar. For example in both I had to think a lot and plan out the structure. Also for both the images I used for the storyboard was the same as in the digital project. They were also different because of the process and publication I went through to make them.

Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters Summary
Throughout this quarter my english teacher assigned the class to read and make a summary of any book we wanted, suited for our level of reading. I decided to choose the book percy jackson sea of monsters. If you keep reading this blog post you will be treated to a summary of this book without me spoiling the ending, as everyone knows that a good summary never spoils the ending, without further a do I will begin.
In this book the main idea is that percy jackson and his crew go on an adventure to save camp half blood by retrieving the golden fleece. Camp half blood was a camp protected by Zeus's daughter called Thalia. She later in the book gives her life to sacrifice one of percys close friends, anabeth, grover and luke from an atack of the mystical creature called the cyclopes. Her father then converted her into a mystical tree. One day Percy gets visted by his unknowingly half brother who is also a cyclopes called Tyson he then tells percy that thalia was poisoned and was dying. After this percy goes to the camp that was being atacked by Colchis Bull but Percy manages to kill him. He then learns that luke was the person that poisoned Thalia. Anabeth learns that the golden fleece is the only way to save the magical tree but the camps director assigns Clarisse the retrieve it. However Percy, Anabeth, Grover and Tyson ignore this fact and decide to go on the adventure to retrieve it.they go on this dangerous journey and follow the ancient prophecy they go through the sea of monsters and recover the Golden Fleece from Luke who wanted to revive the Evil Titan Kronos to destroy Olympus......
I think this book was very entertaining to read for many reasons. It kept the reader focused on the plot and made the person who was reading the book want to read more and more. The detail in the book in my opinion is very pleasing because it doesn't overwhelm the reader with too much facts or words that would usually make you get confused. Instead the reader is treated with a book that has enough detail to read it with fluidity and preciseness. This book over all had me appreciate it and made me open up to read some other books, it also made me want to read the rest of the Percy jackson saga. Finally I would recommend this book to people who like to read about adventure, suspense, etc. Also I would recommend it to people who are fans of Greek mythology and books that have a very interesting plot.
